UDPATE: Blackfoot police arrest bomb threat suspect

UPDATE: 5-24 9:15 A.M.

Blackfoot Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a bomb threat at the Blackfoot Community Center Monday night.

A 17-year-old Blackfoot juvenile was taken into custody on charges of making false reports of explosives in a public or private place.

UPDATE 8:45 P.M.: The Blackfoot Police and Fire Department conducted a thorough search of the Blackfoot Community Center. No devices or suspicious items were located. Investigation into where the call came from is ongoing.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Blackfoot Police Department is currently investigating a bomb threat that was received at the Blackfoot Community Center.

Police have evacuated the center and near by stores in the Plaza as a precautionary measure. Police are asking you to avoid the area as the investigate.

No devices or suspicious packages have yet to be found.
