UPDATE: Preston man dies in crash on SH33
UPDATE 5:50 p.m. Idaho State Police reports a 72-year-old Preston man died in a two-vehicle fatality crash westbound SH33 at milepost 50.5, near Terreton Friday around 11:37 a.m.
ISP reports Dennis Clark was driving a 2007 Dodge Pickup pulling an empty horse trailer westbound on SH33 at milepost 50.5. Larry Garner, 26, of Terreton, was driving a farm tractor pulling a trailer loaded with hay.
Officers say Clark collided with Garner as he was initiating a left turn into a nearby field.
ISP reports Clark succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Bracken Atkinson, 26, of Preston, was Clark’s passenger and was taken by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Officials do not know if Clark or Atkinson were wearing their seatbelt.
Garner was not wearing a seatbelt.
Lanes were blocked for approximately 3.5 hours for the investigation of the crash.
Next of kin have been notified.
UPDATE 2:00 p.m.: One person was killed and one flown to hospital by helicopter after a pickup pulling a horse trailer crashed into a tractor hauling hay.
According to officers on the scene, two vehicles were heading westbound on Highway 33.
Two people were in a Dodge pickup pulling a horse trailer. The pickup rear-ended a John Deere farm tractor hauling hay.
The driver of the pickup was killed and the passenger flown to a hospital by helicopter.
The tractor driver was not hurt.

Idaho State Police reports troopers are currently on scene of a fatal two-vehicle crash on Idaho State Highway 33 at mile marker 50.5 east of Terreton.
ISP reports the road will be blocked for an unknown amount of time.
Troopers ask you find an alternate route of travel.
