Snow King to build onsite employee housing
Snow King Mountain Resort has announced plans to build onsite seasonal employee housing in Jackson.
The resort will house approximately 20 employees for about eight months a year.
Snow King said it hoped the move would help the community meet a housing shortage and help the resort retail good employees.
The multi-purpose building would be built within the resort district on privately owned property on Vine Street. The building would also provide storage for mountain operations.
“Snow King has been exploring opportunities to build onsite housing for several years, and if we can relocate our maintenance facilities to a better location at the base of the mountain, we will be able to create a visually appealing housing facility that will improve the look of Vine Street,” said Snow King General Manager Ryan Stanley. “We are looking forward to moving this proposed project forward as soon as possible and working to help solve our community’s housing problem.”
The resort also announced creation of a pilot Activity Shuttle. The shuttle will provide a regular route to Jackson hotels and key locations, as well as free transportation direct to Snow King.
