Burn ban ordered in Bannock County

Bannock County Commissioners have passed a resolution banning all solid fuel open fires and discharge of all fireworks in unincorporated areas of the county beginning July 1.

Commissioners took the action in the wake of several fires in recent weeks and extremely dry conditions.

The ban does not include propane and charcoal briquette barbecue grills, burn barrels and designated fire pits. The ban will expire October 1, unless the commission decides to take earlier action.
