Vehicle fire backs up traffic in Island Park
A vehicle fire in Island Park on Sunday backed up traffic for a couple of hours.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s office says a vehicle caught fire on Highway 20 in Island Park near mile post 380. The call came in a little before 11 a.m.
Island Park and Fremont County Fire responded and were able to get the fire out.
The road was blocked for about 2 hours. It was finally opened and allowing people to start getting through again around 1 p.m.
During the fire, traffic was diverted onto a back road which was only one lane, causing more traffic delays.
The Sheriff’s Office says the car was being pulled behind an RV, but they don’t know what started the fire.
