Idaho Falls brings the bears out
The bears are out of hibernation, and they are on the Greenbelt, not actual bears.
The city of Idaho Falls brings the bears out every year. When it gets cold they go inside a greenhouse to preserve the plants. They start getting them ready around February and bring them out by Memorial Day. They are a little late this year, but their return is always highly anticipated.
“I think they’re the most popular especially the cubs, people love those. The grass is always worn down here and when our workers come down to water there’s always somebody standing here taking pictures. And you can see people like to put their children up on top of the bear to take pictures,” says Delbert Lloyd, Forrester Horticulturalist for the City of Idaho Falls
If you want to check out the bears, they are on the Greenbelt across from the Snow Eagle Brewing Company.
