Man wanted on 5 warrants arrested
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reports a man wanted on two warrants from the Idaho Falls Police Department and three from Bonneville County, all misdemeanors, was arrested Sunday morning around 2:50 a.m.
Deputies came in contact with Christian J. Hernandez in a vehicle in the 2800 block of E. Lincoln Rd.
Hernandez was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a female that was yelling for help after seeing deputies in the area.
As deputies were attempting to detain Hernandez and investigate, he would not obey commands to show his hands and began struggling to get away.
Deputies were able to get Hernandez restrained and subsequently found drug paraphernalia and Heroin on the ground by him that he appeared to have been attempting to discard.
Deputies also found Hernandez in possession of a semi-automatic pistol along with marijuana and cocaine.
Hernandez was taken to the Bonneville County Jail and booked for the warrants along with new felony charges of drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
Analysis of the drugs found on Hernandez showed approximately three grams of Heroin, one gram of Cocaine and 27 grams of Marijuana.
The female victim yelling for help in this incident was not injured and was released at the scene.
