Utah man arrested at Pocatello McDonald’s after hit and run

Sunday night, around 11:15, Pocatello police arrested Bart Andersen, 48, of Utah in the parking lot of the Pocatello McDonald’s

The suspected drunk driver crashed into an empty car in the parking lot before deciding he wanted to hit the drive-thru for a late night snack.

Officers at the scene reported an obvious smell of alcohol and empty bottles in Andersen’s car.

He was arrested in the parking lot, eating, after refusing to take a breathalyzer test. A forced blood draw was done.

Police also suspect that Andersen may have been involved with another hit and run incident in Chubbuck, earlier on Sunday. No injuries were reported.

Andersen was booked in Bannock County jail early Monday morning and bonded out around 4 a.m.
