Logan man arrested after 2-state chase
A Logan, Utah man is being held in the Caribou County jail after a two-state, multi-county pursuit last night.
It began in Box Elder County, Utah at around 8:19 p.m. where officers were pursuing a suspect who ran away from them on Interstate 15.
Idaho State Police troopers located the vehicle but called off a pursuit for safety reasons after the driver entered a construction zone on I-15 near McCammon.
The driver was located later by Bannock County Sheriff’s deputies on U.S. Highway 30. Again, officers discontinued pursuit for safety reasons.
The suspect was spotted a third time by State Police troopers south of Bancroft, according to ISP.
The driver again tried to evade police, but, with the help of Caribou County deputies, stopped the vehicle near Old Highway 30 and Talmage Road southeast of Bancroft.
34-year-old Adam Cook was arrested and transported to the Caribou County Jail in Soda Springs. Cook was initially charged with felony eluding and driving without privileges.
