Former Bingham County Prosecutor dies

Former Bingham County Prosecutor Tom Moss passed away early Monday morning. He was 80 years old.

His son, Brad tells Local News 8, he was struggling with cancer and had been on hospice for about a week.

During his 30 years in Bingham County, he handled the Dovey Small, and Randy McKinney murder case. He may be best remembered for the way he handled the Paul Ezra Rhoades trials.

He was a U.S. attorney for President Bush. He was a state representative prior to that. Tom was a father and coached all five of his sons in little league.

His viewing is scheduled for Thursday at the Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot from 6-8 pm. His funeral will be Friday at 11 am at the Blackfoot West Stake Center.
