Flames near Aspens Water Treatment Plant isnothing to worry about

ValleyWide Co-Op Propane is conducting a flare-off of a propane tank at the Aspens Water Treatment Facility on the West Bank Wednesday.

Teton County Emergency Management said this is to remove all remaining propane in the tank prior to safe transport and removal.

This is a routine operation, and there is no need to report to 911.

Expect to see 15-30 ft. flame lengths starting at 9:30 a.m. Operations could last 4 hours or longer.

Officials say to avoid the area near the water treatment plant to allow technicians to conduct operations.

Businesses in the Aspens will remain open, and access to residents will be unaffected.
