Chukars Garcia moved up, Bubic named as replacement on All Star team

Idaho Falls pitcher Kris Bubic has been named to the 2018 Pioneer League All Star team.

He is replacing teammate Robert Garcia has been called up to the Lexington Legends.

Bubic will be joining J.C. Cloney, Nate Eaton and Reed Rohlman in Grand Junction.

Bubic was drafted in the CBA round, which is between the first and 2nd rounds, of the 2018 MLB draft out of Stanford.

The big left hander in 5 starts is 1-1 with a 3.94 ERA on the year.

His best start of the season came on Wednesday August first when he went 5 innings against Orem, giving up 3 hits and striking out 10 while earning his first win of the season.

Garcia in 10 games pitched 22.1 innings in the Pioneer League gave up 4 runs, while striking out 18 and holding batters to a .222 batting average against.
