Roaring Youth Jam set this weekend

The Idaho Falls Arts Council is finalizing plans for the annual Idaho Falls River Walk Youth Jam this weekend.

The 3-day art and music festival is designed for kids and families and features art booths, performances, collaborative projects, and more. The Arts Council booths are free and others include at least a free activity or giveaway.

This year’s theme is “Goes Wild” and will feature animal-themed projects. Among those participating are the Snake River Doodles Therapy Animals and Petting Zoo.

“Youth Jam is one of the Arts Council’s longest running programs,” said Georgina Goodlander, Visual Arts Director of the Idaho Falls Arts Council, “The core of the event hasn’t changed since its inception, and really is the embodiment of our mission. We love having a completely free event to really share the experience with the whole community.”

The festival is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
