Rexburg Police seek con-woman

Rexburg Police are trying to hunt down a woman who ran away from lawmen before she could be sentenced for fraud.

Peggy Anne Rodriguez was arrested in Rexburg on March 17, 2016. Police charged that she and her husband Nicolas Cendejas came to Rexburg with false and forged documents in order to obtain a cash loan from a quick-cash business. An employee of the business had previous encounters with Rodriguez at an Idaho Falls quick-cash store.

Cendejas ultimately pleaded guilty and was sentenced.

Rodriguez, however, was to be sentenced on December 12, 2016, but failed to appear in Madison County District Court.

Police say Rodriguez has long ties and family in the Idaho Falls area, as well as southern California. She is known to use several aliases including Ana Beltran, Leticia Flores, Anita Rodriguez, and Michelle Rodriquez. She is 4′ 11″ tall and weighs 180 pounds and has several tattoos on her arms, legs, and neck.

Anyone with information should contact Rexburg Police at 208-359-3008.
