Yellowstone visitation at near record levels

Yellowstone National Park experienced its fifth busiest July ever.

The park hosted 940,563 visitors in July, down from 962,404 in July of 2017.

So far this year, Yellowstone has recorded 2,322,270 visits. That is up slightly from the same period last year. Year-to-date visitation is 19 percent higher than five years ago in 2014. Annual visitor numbers have steadily risen over the past five years.
