Officials release names of individuals in plane crash
UPDATE 8/15/18: The Caribou County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved in a plane crash that happened Monday morning.
Pilot John Craig Koehler, 66, of Afton, Wyoming, passenger Evan Zane Hathaway, 29, of Afton, Wyoming and passenger Tristan Brant Smith, 41, of Smoot, Wyoming were rescued from the crash.
Koehler and Smith continue to receive medical treatment.
Hathaway has been released from medical treatment.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.

The Caribou County Sheriff’s Office along with the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating a plane crash that happened Monday morning.
The Lincoln County, Wyoming Sheriff’s office received a 911 call around 9 a.m. about a plane crash in a heavily wooded area northwest of the Smoky Canyon Mine in Caribou County.
Lincoln County Sheriff Deputies made contact with Caribou County Sheriff Deputies to tell them that the plane had crash with three men on board.
Caribou County sent air and ground rescue to the crash site to rescued the three men. They are currently in the hospital receiving treatment.
The plane was based out of Afton, Wyoming and the pilot and passengers were from the Afton area.
Due to the nature of the injuries, names are not being released.
