Pocatello Community Media to close September 28
Pocatello Community Media’s Community Access Channel 64 will be going off the air.
Prepaid DVD and other media orders will be available for pickup at the City’s Information Technology Department until September 28.
Following the closure, orders placed in the previous year will be available in the department.
Staff will no longer be checking out equipment to users.
Officials ask you retrieve all personal items in the department by September 28.
The department’s two other channels, Government Access (Channel 56) and Educational Access (Channel 60), will continue operating after the closure.
City of Pocatello public information officer Logan McDougall said that while there is the potential that a nonprofit group organizes a new Community Access channel, this marks the end of the city’s involvement.
