Avoid John Adams Parkway and S. Holmes Avenue for electrical hazard

UPDATE 11:00 a.m. The Idaho Falls Police Department reports the traffic accident that caused the downed power lines at 5th Street/John Adams Parkway and S. Holmes Avenue also took out the traffic control cabinet.

The traffic signals between 5th Street and 7th Street, along S Holmes Avenue, will be out Monday while crews repair the cabinet.

Officials say there are no other power outages associated with this incident.

Police ask you use caution.

The Idaho Falls Fire Department and Idaho Falls Power are addressing an electrical hazard/wire down in the area of 5th Street/John Adams Parkway and S. Holmes Avenue.

Officials ask you avoid the area.

Police will be closing the road until the issue is fixed.

Officials do not have an estimated time on repairs yet.
