Sheriff’s Office: ATV driver killed in apparent accident
Authorities in southwestern Utah say a Salt Lake City man is dead after an apparent ATV accident near Navajo Lake in Kane County.
The county Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old David Montoya apparently was driving on a road at night when he failed to make a turn and struck a large rock.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the ATV flipped on its side, fatally injuring Montoya, whose dog wasn’t injured.
Travelers passing the site found Montoya Tuesday morning and called authorities.
Navajo Lake is 35 miles north of Kanab.
