Pocatello pulls wildlife feeding ordinance

The City of Pocatello has pulled a proposed wildlife feeding ordinance out of consideration for the time being.

It was taken off of the city council’s agenda this week.

The “task force” is continuing to pursue the project.

The police department was concerned about its ability to adequately enforce the ordinance, and there was concern whether Idaho Fish and Game officers had authority in city limits.

Those issues are currently under review.
