Idaho Falls man who helped friend hide murder weapon sentenced to jail
An Idaho Falls man who hid a murder weapon will now spend 55 days in jail.
Tristan Furrows was sentenced Tuesday for concealing evidence.
They say he helped murder suspect Jameion Hernandez hide a baseball bat.
The bat was used to kill Lisa Stukey.
Her body was found two weeks later in her home in Ammon.
Courts records say Hernandez told furrows about her death.
Furrows then suggested throwing the bat into a pond near his parent’s home.
Furrows didn’t tell investigators about the murder weapon until two months after they first spoke to him.
Following his days in jail, Furrows will be on probation and participated in a drug court program.
If he fails, he could spend two and a half to five years in prison.
