BYU-Idaho reports fall enrollment increase
Unlike state institutions, Brigham Young University-Idaho is reporting continued growth in both on-campus and online enrollment this fall.
On-campus enrollment was placed at 20,226 students, an increase of 4.3 percent over last fall’s campus enrollment of 19, 399. Another 4,255 campus-based students are also taking online courses or fulfilling internships away from campus. The program allows the university to serve more students who do not have to be on-campus.
Of those students on campus, there are 10,569 female students and 9,657 males. There are 4,808 married students, which makes up about 23 percent of the total campus population.
Online campus enrollment this fall is 13,524 students, which is an increase of 14.1 percent over last year’s numbers.
BYU-Idaho attributes its continued enrollment growth to student-focused teaching, the opportunity for students to associate with other students with similar values, and high-value educational experience.
