Trophy hunting protest set Saturday
As part of a worldwide protest, the Jackson-based Wyoming Wildlife Advocates will hold a rally against trophy hunting on the Jackson Town Square.
The group says the protest is part of a larger Worldwide Rally Against Trophy Hunting (WRATH) focusing on the Safari Club International Conference in Reno, Nevada this weekend.
According to the Jackson group, one of the goals of the protest is to raise awareness of Wyoming’s gray wolf hunts. It also highlights wildlife killing contests, which often focus on killing coyotes, foxes, mountain lions, and other species for cash and prizes.
The protest was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at the Jackson Town Square.
