First ever Harry Potter day comes to the Gate City

The wizarding world of Harry Potter came to Pocatello for the first ever “A Day in Hogwarts.”

It was a fundraiser that sold out and started at 10 a.m. Saturday and went until 6 p.m.

It was a day of magic and fun at Liberty Hall events center.

Event coordinators say it will become an annual event due to such a large turnout.

Melody Daniels, the co-founder of My World Discoveries Museum says “We’re in the capital campaigning phase and just getting the word out so this is helping with that too but having fun with kids. That’s really having an educational opportunity for kids and having fun while we’re doing it is what we’re all about.”

All proceeds will go towards “My World Discoveries Museum”, which is set to open up in Chubbuck.

It is a STEM themed museum for children to learn and play.
