Rexburg Police arrested Mikaela Rachelle Ivie, 21, after an incident at H.A.S. Inc. in Rexburg Saturday.

Police were called after Ivie allegedly assaulted her caregiver. The caregiver was 10 weeks pregnant.

Chief Shane Turman said Ivie shoved the victim and made threats to kill the unborn child. She then kicked and shoved the victim in the stomach and repeatedly threw her forcefully into a wall.

Ivie was charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor battery.

Turman said it appeared the victim will recover from the attack, although her official condition is unknown.
