Governor Little speaks on Medicaid expansion

Idaho Republicans held their 47th annual Lincoln Day banquet this weekend.

Lawmakers at the state and federal level gathered to celebrate Abraham Lincoln and what he means to the Gem State.

Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News 3 caught up with Governor Little and asked him where he wants lawmakers to go moving forward with Medicaid Expansion.

“My big issue that I said over and over is, I want to have any safety net, what I call springing the safety net so that people the working poor that need medicaid to cover their healthcare costs, that they have programs they can move on to, right now they’re being discriminated against. People who are making a little more of a living can get underwritten health insurance through the exchange,” Said Governor Little.
