College students cited after frightening prank
A frightening, early morning prank resulted in citations for two women and one man in Rexburg Monday.
Rexburg Police were called to an apartment complex at 650 South 1st West at around 12:45 a.m.
According to reports, two females were asleep in their room when a man entered their room and fired what turned out to be a Nerf pistol at them.
Officers determined the man was asked to enter their bedroom by two of the women’s female roommates. They had, according to reports, had a disagreement earlier.
Rexburg Police Chief Shane Turman called the event a “silly prank” that clearly terrified the two women.
The man and two roommates were cited for misdemeanor disturbing the peace and released.
