City of Pocatello launchesnew app

Pocatello residents now have a new way to get in touch with City government.

The new mobile app “Pocatello Connect” allows residents who see a concern to immediately report the issue to the City.

Residents are also able to upload a picture or video with the request.

“Citizens are our eyes and ears many times,” said Mayor Brian Blad. “If you see a pothole, a blocked/clogged storm drain, or weeds on a property, just pull out your phone and let us know. Pocatello Connect is going to make it easy for everyone to help make our city an even better place to live.”

Once a service request is received, users will be notified via email or through a mobile push notification as the City processes the request.

Residents are also able to see nearby requests for service on a map. Officials would like to remind residents that the app should not be used to report emergencies and all emergencies should be reported by calling 911.

The app also allows people to register for Parks and Recreation Department programs, apply for City jobs and receive notifications.

You can download the app on the Apple Store HERE and on Google Play HERE.

The new app replaces the City’s current service request program that has been in place since March 1988.

You are still able to request service by calling 208-234-6163.
