Pocatello Police arrest Montana fugitive

A Montana man is in custody on felony charges after a confrontation with Pocatello Police Wednesday.

Brandon Michael Grammer, 29, was picking up his girl friend’s child at the New Horizons School at 955 W. Alameda Road at around 3:25 p.m. Wednesday. The school Resource Officer identified the man as a wanted person and approached him in the parking lot.

According to reports, the officer determined Grammer was wanted on multiple felony warrants in Montana. Grammer gave the officer a false name and refused to get out of the pickup. He then attempted to drive his pickup forward, then backward where the officer was standing. When he realized he couldn’t drive away, Grammer finally gave himself up for arrest.

A young child in the pickup was not injured.

Grammer was arrested on a fugitive warrant and felony charges of aggravated assault. He was also cited with misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and obstruction, by providing false information to an officer.
