Wife dies, husband injured in shooting at Utah home
Authorities say a Utah couple was shot at their home, leaving the woman dead and her husband hospitalized in serious condition.
Police identified the Sandy couple as 36-year-old Maureen Fiore-Webster and 38-year-old Jeffrey Webster.
Detectives have not yet made any arrests but early evidence suggests a third person attacked the couple.
Police were called to the house Tuesday after an alarm was triggered about 10 p.m. Sandy Police Sgt. Nielsen says they found the victims with gunshot wounds and rushed them to Intermountain Medical Center, where Fiore died early Wednesday.
Officers have obtained a warrant to search the couple’s home.
Nielsen says detectives are speaking with neighbors to find any possible surveillance footage.
