Coffee with the Mayor held at Christensen Courts

Tuesday morning in Pocatello, Christensen Courts hosted “Coffee with the Mayor.”

Mayor Brian Blad spent an hour speaking with community members about topics like Old Town-Pocatello, Zoo Idaho and the way City Council meetings run.

Mayor Blad said events like this are beneficial for both sides because it helps connect him with people who might not otherwise have access to him.

“It’s a typical demographic that we don’t get to get in front of very often and they don’t very often come to city hall to talk to the mayor,” Blad said.

“So this is a good group for me to just be able to sit down and have a casual conversation with them, so they understand what is happening in their community.”

Blad said that he’s grateful for the help of the Housing Authority, who has helped Blad host events of the sort for the past several years.
