INL manager to be parade grand marshal

Idaho National Laboratory Director Dr. Mark Peters has been named Grand Marshal of the Idaho Falls Independence Day Parade. The theme for this year’s event will be “Empowering the Future.”

The Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce has opened registration for 100 spots in the parade. Entrants are encouraged to plan their entries with the theme in mind.

Parade entries will be judged prior to the start of the parade and awards honored in a variety of categories. You can find details here.

As director of INL, Peters manages more than 4,000 scientists, engineers and support staff in multiple nuclear and non-nuclear facilities and a budget of over $900 million.
