Rose Road construction hits new phase Tuesday
Idaho Transportation Department crews will begin removing asphalt and beginning earthwork for the Rose Road interchange on Interstate 15 Tuesday.
The work will continue through Friday. During that time, traffic on Rose Road will be shifted onto a gravel surface. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction. Access to Rose Road will remain open, but flaggers will direct traffic.
It is all part of a year-long project to reconstruct the interchange at Exit 98. The work includes widening the Rose Road overpass, increase its vertical clearance, reconfigure and lengthen interchange ramps, and replace two canal structures to support current traffic loads.
The project should be complete late this year.
