Fall River Electric gets upper hand on power outages

Update: 9 a.m. 6-7-19

Thunderstorms and gusty winds caused some damage and created power outages in the Fall River Electric service territory of Fremont County Thursday night.

Most of those downed lines have now been repaired.

As of 9 a.m., the cooperative was attempting to restore power to about 122 customers in an area south and east of Felt in Teton County, idaho.

High winds caused some damage in the St. Anthony area.

Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative reports thunderstorms and gusting winds are causing power outages.

Officials say crews are responding as quickly and safely as possible. Some downed lines are being reported.

If you see a downed line or a line that is low to the ground, call them at 800-632-5726.

Officials say you should expect outages to last at until at least 8 p.m.
