Chubbuck mayor elected to state association post

Chubbuck Mayor Kevin England has been elected Second Vice President of the Association of Idaho Cities.

The AIC is holding its 72nd Annual Conference in Boise. Over 400 delegates representing cities from around the state were on hand for the vote.

Twin Falls City Councilor Suzanne Hawkins was elected President and Malad City Council President Tom Jenkins as First Vice President. Kuna Mayor Joe Stear was elected Third Vice President.

The Association was formed in 1947 as a nonpartisan corporation to serve the state’s 200 incorporated cities. In addition to providing education, training, and technical assistance to city elected officials, it also provides cities with an opportunity to influence state policy.

District 1: Ashley Lounsbury—Councilor, Plummer
District 2: Steve Odenborg—Mayor, Genesee
District 3: Debbie Kling—Mayor, Nampa
District 3A: Luke Cavener—City Council Vice President, Meridian
District 4: Casey Andersen—Councilor, Burley
District 5: Terry Larson—Councilor, Preston
District 6: Robert “BJ” Berlin—Mayor, Roberts
