Fireworks starts small brush fire in Idaho Falls

The Idaho Falls Fire Department extinguished a brush fire on the 1400 block of North Emerson Sunday night.

It burned about 5 acres.

It broke out about 9 p.m.

The fire department said it was caused by fireworks. It burned brush and some debris.

Firefighters were able to keep it away from homes, vehicles, businesses and a church.
