Paving Project will temporarily disrupt Buffalo and Riverside Campgrounds beginning Sept. 10

Beginning Sept. 10, Loop C and D of the Buffalo Campground and Riverside Campground will close as contractors work to repave the area.

Access to the boat launch inside Riverside Campground will be unavailable.

“Basic maintenance is critical to keeping our campgrounds in good condition for recreationalists,” said Tom Brown, Caribou-Targhee National Forest Engineer. “We are fortunate to have funding from the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation RV fund to complete the asphalt paving projects this year.”

The public is asked to use caution while in the area and be aware of heavy construction equipment working in the vicinity.

The construction is expected to last until Sept. 27.
