Police search for suspect who stabbed nurse at LA hospital
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are searching for a man suspected of stabbing a nurse at a Los Angeles hospital, prompting a lockdown of the facility. Police say officers responded shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday following reports of an assault by a man with a knife at Mission Community Hospital. Police say the 49-year-old nurse was in the hospital lobby and was about to start an overnight shift when a stranger in black clothing stabbed him in the neck and hand without a word and ran away. The victim is in critical but stable condition.
