NEW YORK (AP) — Federal investigators this week seized phones from New York City’s police commissioner and at least four top deputies to Mayor Eric Adams. That’s according to people familiar with the matter who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation. The people say FBI agents paid visits Wednesday to home of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright; Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks and mayoral advisor Timothy Pearson, who is a former high-ranking New York Police Department official. One person says federal investigators also seized electronic devices from the home of Police Commissioner Edward Caban.
