Netanyahu is testifying in his corruption trial. He has been dogged by scandal for years
TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the witness stand for the first time in his long-running trial on corruption charges. Long before these charges emerged, Netanyahu has been vexed by a flurry of embarrassing scandals and allegations. Netanyahu vehemently denies wrongdoing. He has denied wrongdoing, and assailed investigations into his conduct or that of his family as witch hunts. He and his family have been accused of spending extravagantly with public funds. His household staff has accused his wife of mistreatment. And an aide was accused of leaking information to sway public opinion.
