Sheriff: 1 killed by deputy after suspect ends up at home
BATTLE GROUND, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a person shot by a sheriff’s deputy is dead after a suspect in an armed robbery ended up contacting a homeowner while being chased in southern Washington state. However, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office did not release details about who was killed in Saturday’s shooting and why the deputy fired his gun. Meanwhile, police in nearby Vancouver announced that one of its officers, Donald Sahota, was killed while off-duty in his home on Saturday. Property records show his home is in the Battle Ground area.
