Man arrested for grand theft
POWER COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - The Power County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 phone call reporting a theft of a pickup truck that was parked at a shop belonging to a Power County farmer Monday around 4:19 p.m.
The shop is located in the Lake Channel Area of Power County which is west of American Falls.
Power County Deputies responded to the area while the owner of the pickup contacted other farmers in the area about the theft. One of the farmers of that area located the pickup west of where it was taken just as deputies arrived in the area.
33-year-old Braxton D. Adams was still with the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.
Police investigation discovered Adams had stolen a white Chevrolet Tahoe from Idaho Falls earlier in the day and had abandoned the Tahoe at the shop where the pickup truck was stolen.
Adams was booked into the Power County Jail for grand theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and felony malicious injury to property.
No further information will be released at this time.
