Attorney General investigators arrest 2 in eastern Idaho

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has announced investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit made two arrests this week in eastern Idaho.

On Tuesday, investigators arrested an Idaho Falls man for alleged sexual exploitation of a child and video voyeurism. 48-year-old Nathan M. Law was booked into the Bonneville County Jail. He is alleged to have possessed and produced sexually exploitative material.

The Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office assisted.

On Thursday, 24-year-old Talon C. Beattie was arrested in Pocatello for alleged sexual exploitation of a child. Beattie, of Pocatello, was booked into the Bannock County Jail following his arrest.

The Pocatello Police Department, Idaho Falls Police Department, Idaho State Police, Homeland Security Investigations and the Bannock County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office all assisted the ICAC Unit.

Anyone with information regarding the exploitation of children is encouraged to contact local police, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

The Attorney General’s ICAC Unit works with the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children.
