Man pleads not guilty for accessory to murder

BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) – The second man facing charges for the murder of Morey Pelton has pleaded not guilty.

Gerald Hamlin is facing three charges. They are Principle to First Degree Murder, Accessory to First Degree Murder and Concealment/Destruction of Evidence.

If convicted, he could face up to life in prison or receive the death penalty.

Pelton was found dead in May 2022 at the Lane Clark Rest Stop between Ririe and Swan Valley.

Randy Larkin is currently awaiting trial on first Degree Murder charges related to Pelton's death.

Hamlin is expected back in court on April 16.
