Runaway juvenile located
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE 1/21/22: Idaho Falls Police report Alaina was located Thursday night in Idaho Falls and is safe with law enforcement.
UPDATE 1/18/22: The Idaho Falls Police Department has made contact with Alaina and is working on getting her back where she is supposed to be.
She is no longer considered missing, but she is still considered a runaway.
At this time, police believe Alaina may be in the Nampa or Caldwell areas. Anyone in those areas who have seen Alaina or who is aware of her current whereabouts is asked to contact the Idaho Falls Police Department at (208)529-1200 or their local law enforcement agency.
As a reminder, it is a crime to knowingly provide shelter to a runaway child without notifying law enforcement of the child’s whereabouts. (Idaho Statute 18-1510).

Alaina Malacara is a 15-year-old female and was last seen in Idaho Falls on December 14, 2021.
Police say Alaina has brown hair, blue eyes, is 5’ 1” tall, weighs approximately 112 pounds and was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a tie-dye sweater.
Anyone with information regarding Alaina’s current whereabouts or who has seen Alaina since December 14 is asked to contact Idaho Falls Police Dispatch at (208)529-1200.
