Doom Haunted Attraction sports new look
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Doom Haunted Attraction is ready to scare the pants off of anyone who dares enter the building.
Doom is one of the top haunted attractions in the gem state. They spare no expense to scare their visitors. Bringing in animatronics and set pieces from across the country to put on display in their warehouse.
Despite the great lengths they go to, Doom is not in the business for the money. Instead, they look to give back to the community. Donating their profits to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s D.A.R.E. program.
"None of us are taking any payment for being here," manager Brent Wilson, said. "Overall it’s about fun and it’s about a good cause."
While helping out with the dare program hasn’t changed, Wilson and his team have spent the last three years revamping the doom.
“We have become a lot more doomier if that’s a word," Wilson said. "The haunt has got about 35 professional haunted house animatronics in it,
"We’ve got two new mausoleums and a church facade built by a company out of Pennsylvania"
Overall, Wilson says that roughly 35% of Doom is full of new attractions.
Over 60 people donate their time to bring the Doom to life. Dancers entertain visitors before they enter the Doom and other characters and an animatronic monster named Roofus lurks outside for photo ops.
Doom Haunted Attraction is located on 1st St in Idaho Falls.
You can purchase tickets, and fast passes and reserve a slot to visit on their website here.
The Doom will run every Thursday through Saturday in October, as well as Halloween Day.
