A blast killed 2 people and injured 9 in a Shiite neighborhood in the Afghan capital Kabul
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A police spokesman in the Afghan capital Kabul says an explosion has killed two people and injured nine others. It struck a mostly Shiite Muslim neighborhood where there have been major, horrific attacks on schools, hospitals and mosques carried out by an Islamic State group affiliate in recent years. The cause of Thursday evening’s blast is not yet known. A spokesman for the Kabul police chief said the injured people were transferred to a nearby hospital and that an investigation team has reached the scene to find out the cause of the blast.
