Warming shelter open in Pocatello

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - An overnight warming shelter for people without a home is now open for the winter in Pocatello.

The First Congregational United Church of Christ of Pocatello opened the shelter last year to help provide a safe place for people needing warmth, food and rest, regardless of their situation.

The shelter is located at 309 North Garfield Avenue and is open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The shelter will serve dinner every night at 7:30 p.m.

There is also a barber that will come in on a monthly basis to offer free haircuts.
