New tunnel proposed for American Falls

AMERICAN FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The City of American Falls is proposing the construction of a tunnel under Highway 39 for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

The project will include new fencing and new asphalt pathways along Highway 39.

It's designed purpose is to provide a safe crossing of Highway 39, increase mobility throughout the City,
connect parks, the marina, businesses, schools, churches, residential areas and existing pathways and prepare for future growth planned in the north end of the City.
