3 things to know this morning – October 9, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Monday.

1. The Idaho GOP announces that it will hold a presidential caucus instead of a primary next year. on March 2nd, registered Republicans show up at a specific time and location for a caucus instead of going to a voting booth to cast a ballot. Idaho Democrats also plan to hold a caucus on May 25th.

2. A number of items have been stolen at the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket. The volunteers are hoping the behavior will stop, since the money to replace these items comes out of their funding. The food basket is asking for donations to help install security cameras to catch future thieves.

3. Starting today, crews from the city of Pocatello Water Department will be replacing the water main line on Garrett Way, Madison Avenue, Colorado Avenue and Maple Street. Work will be between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to about 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It may cause short-term disruptions to water service. The project is expected to take 8 weeks to complete.
